The first quarter of 2025 witnessed interesting performance trends among the top navigation and maps applications on the Android platform in Central America. Data from Sensor Tower reveals varying patterns in downloads and active user engagement across these apps.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic maintained a robust presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 80K and 95K. The app saw its highest downloads in mid-February, peaking at approximately 95.6K. Active users exhibited a consistent pattern, starting the quarter at 5M and peaking at 5.5M in mid-February.

Camera Location: Geotag Photos displayed a dramatic surge in downloads, especially in early February, with numbers climbing to 94.6K. Active users mirrored this trend, reaching a high of 90.3K during the same period.

Google Earth experienced steady growth in downloads, with numbers ranging from 19K to 35K, peaking in mid-March. Active user numbers followed a similar trajectory, reaching over 421K in the third week of March.

GPS Satellite Maps: Live Earth saw a gradual increase in downloads, with numbers moving from 8.7K to over 19K by mid-February. Active users also increased, peaking at 48.4K in the final week of March.

Offline Maps, GPS, Speedometer had a more variable download pattern, starting at 20K and experiencing a dip to 7.5K in mid-March before recovering slightly. Active users remained relatively stable, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching 29.8K.
